The department has three paid employees and thirty-eight volunteers. Three fire stations are strategically located throughout the City with up-to-date equipment including two Class A pumpers and one Class A standby pumper, 100' Aerial Platform truck, all with a 2000 gpm capacity, and two fully equipped rescue vehicles. The department, established in 1920, provides the citizens of Cleveland with a Class 6 rating as established by the Mississippi State Rating Bureau. The department is the first in the State to receive such a high rating with an all volunteer operation.
