The department employs forty-five people, of which, thirty-nine are sworn police officers and six civilians serve in a support role. The number of sworn officers represents a ratio of one officer per three-hundred fifty-seven citizens which aids substantially in Cleveland's low crime rate. The department has a fleet of seventeen vehicles and state-of-the-art equipment and training to provide effective law enforcement for the citizens of Cleveland.
